Acupuncture for Infertility

Sandra Moyer, infertility acupuncture specialistSandra loves to work with infertility because of the positive results she has seen over the last ten years. Her greatest success has been with women in their 30's and 40's working on getting pregnant naturally. As she understands that every person's body is different, and what works for one person may not work for another, she evaluates each person's physical and emotional state and recommends tailored lifestyle shifts that make lasting differences in the patient's life.

Female Infertility

Sandra assists women in preparing their bodies for conceiving by creating a balanced internal environment, like preparing a garden's soil for the seed. She works with women in balancing the whole body with acupuncture, Chinese herbs and dietary guidelines. This affects the quality of the eggs and strength of the body to maintain a pregnancy to term. Her mission is to help restore fertility so that the patient can conceive naturally or increase her odds of success if doing assisted therapies.

Although it is wise to prepare the body for a year before conception is planned, the 3 months before conception are the most crucial for enhancing egg quality. It is very benefical to receive 12 acupuncture treatments during those 3 months.

Assisted Reproductive Therapy (ART):

Should you choose to enter into In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) or Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), she can work with you as you go through the entire process. Many scientific studies show the effectiveness of acupuncture in conjunction with ART.

Male Infertility

Three factors involved in male infertility are sperm count, motility (movement) and morphology (shape and size). Varicocele is also quite common. Chinese medicine can be very effective with these issues. Because it takes 70 days to generate new sperm, treatment time is approximately 3 months with acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutritional counseling and lifstyle changes.
